The five steps to get your residential building project approved

The Building Approval Process

STEP 1

Once you’ve engaged Platinum Building Approvals to carry out the building certification, your plans and associated documentation will be assessed against the National Construction Code (NCC), Queensland Development Code and the local laws adopted by local and state government. This will also include lodging any associated approvals/permits with the local authority.

STEP 2

An information request will then be generated outlining all the items required before a building permit can be issued.

STEP 3

Once all items have been received and all necessary approvals have been returned from the local authority, the building approval will be issued.

STEP 4

The building permit and all associated approval documentation will be emailed and/or posted to you and council within five business days.

STEP 5

You can now commence construction on your building project.
