Brian Downting started in the building industry 17 years ago as an apprentice carpenter experiencing in all types of construction from simply slab on ground houses to multi-split level developments on very challenging sites. In his last year as an apprentice carpenter Brian took the initiative to become a builder and started night studies to complete his certificate IV in Building Construction.

Upon completing both forms of studies Brian carried on working in the industry as a sub-constructor carpenter. Whilst only dealing in the construction side for many years Brian wanted to grow and make a difference in the sometimes very convoluted industry.

Brian was offered a cadet-ship as a Building Surveyor with a very reputable company on the Gold Coast where he undertook his studies and training. Just under 2 years as a Cadet he graduated, was accredited and licensed to undertake Building Certifying.
